Pricing and Availability of Goods

While we attempt to ensure that all prices listed on our website are correct, prices may sometimes vary for reasons that are beyond our control, for example, for any titles listed on this website, but not currently in stock. Electric Shadows Bookshop reserves the right not to sell at the displayed price.

We will generally contact you within 48 hours of your order being placed, or shortly thereafter, to confirm your order and the price and availability of all items ordered. If there is any price difference we will contact you via email you before processing your order.

All prices quoted on this web site are in Australian dollars (AUD$).

Delivery Policy

It is your obligation to enter the correct delivery address details at time of ordering. If you enter the wrong address, we are not obliged to re-send the order to the correct address at our expense.

Unfortunately, we are unable to guarantee time of delivery.It is the responsibility of the customer to inform us if an order does not arrive. Once we learn that an order has not arrived within a reasonable time, we will instigate enquiries. We will not be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from late delivery.

Please note that if an item has been lost in transit, we will not despatch a replacement item immediately. Replacement items will be despatched according to our discretion. Without limiting the operation of any other Terms and Conditions herein, you agree that late delivery does not constitute a failure of our agreement, and does not entitle you to cancellation of an order.

Delivery Rates

Within Australia:

All Orders, regardless of size cost a flat $8 (GST included).

Delivery is via Australia Post. Your purchase will be posted within 3 working days of receipt of your order, unless an item has been backorderd, in which case you will be notified of the anticipated delivery time.

If other special delivery rates are required please contact us for pricing.

Outside Australia:

All orders weighing up to 2kg cost a flat $15, for any parcels heavier we will contact you before finalising your order.

These rates are for an untracked postal service. We can quote on a tracked/registered service, and/or heavier consignments.

Express Delivery:

Express delivery at special rates is also available on request. Please contact us for details.

Returns Policy

If you receive a product that you believe is not what was expected, Electric Shadows Bookshop will (a) refund, or (b) replace books, or (c) exchange, or (d) provide a Gift Certificate to the value of the returned order (goods) purchased from our web site, provided goods are returned within 14 days, and are in good condition, and are accompanied by our official receipt/tax invoice.

When returning goods to us, we will only cover the cost of freight for goods that are faulty or damaged prior to delivery. Freight costs for all other returns will be at the expense of the purchaser. All returns should be mailed to Electric Shadows Bookshop, Shop 2/ 40 Mort Street, Braddon ACT 2612, Australia.

Goods and Services Tax (GST)

The Australian government introduced a 10% Goods and Services Tax in 2000 for all products and services delivered within Australia. Overseas delivery is GST-free!

When you place an order through this website, we need to know your name, e-mail, phone number, address and credit card details if paying by credit card. This allows us to process and fulfill your order successfully. It also helps us in maintaining your account.
